Foundation – Learning

The Foundation

Previously a professor at Sandhills Community College, Mr. Smith, has taught college 100 and 200 level computer networking courses, along with Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) courses. During his tenure at SCC, Professor Smith provided astute instruction to a varied student base and due to his status as an I.T. professional, provided real world scenarios for classroom labs. Coupled with the instructional material for each course, this enabled his students to see theory in action with a wide variety of situations they would encounter as they embarked on their I.T. careers.

Additionally, Professor Smith, is accredited by Microsoft as an Essential Assessment Engineer, Essential Education Trainer Engineer, and Essential Online Delivery Engineer. These Microsoft accreditations certify that he successfully and effectively delivers instructional and educational content to his audience.

Learning About Technology

Technology is an intrinsic part of our daily lives. While tech can at times be frustrating – even for those of us working in the field – learning about technology and how it works can open doors and expand horizons for any young person.

It is paramount that our children, the next generation of technology stewards, understand how technology operates – not only its underlying properties and processes, but the principles to utilize technology efficiently and properly for the greater good.
